Ray Simonson - Chief Executive Officer

View Interview with Ray SimonsonRay brings 32 years of experience developing, buying and selling mission critical enterprise software to Coreworx. He has a successful entrepreneurial record and the ability to attract a strong team. His skills complement the strengths of the Coreworx executive team in developing, managing and growing mid stage technology firms to a profitable exit.

Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of CheckFree i-Solutions - the leading internet billing company - from 2000 to 2004.

In 1996, he co-founded Bluegill Technologies with two friends. As Chief Technology Officer, he assembled and led the development of the first XML-based internet billing application. The market success of BlueGill Technologies led to an acquisition of BlueGill by CheckFree in early 2000.

Prior to his experience with Bluegill and CheckFree, Ray held a series of senior roles with a major Canadian financial Services company where he focused on delivering technically innovative mission critical IT systems.

Ray Simonson serves on the Board of Directors for Coreworx and is the Chairman of Golden Rock Products. He is active in the construction and engineering industry and serves on the board of advisors of the Construction Industry Institute and Fiatech. Locally, Ray is a committed member of the high tech community, serving on the board of directors for both Communitech and Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre (CBET). He also volunteers as an Executive in Residence for CBET.

Nick Clemenzi, BBA, CA - Chief Financial Officer

Nick ClemenziNick is a meticulous, results-oriented business executive, with over 20 years of progressive experience at all levels of finance. During his career, Nick has developed management information systems, ISO 9001 quality assurance programs and cost reduction initiatives, has negotiated long-term contracts and business acquisitions, and has managed all aspects of financial and management reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting. He has also been involved in securing equity capital in excess of $20 million and over $30 million in project financing for investments in power plant projects.

Prior to leaving his financial and management consulting practice to join Coreworx in August 2009, Nick was VP Finance & CFO of MedcomSoft Inc., a TSX-listed company and developer of software solutions, for eight years; held various controllership positions at Toromont Industries Ltd., a TSX-listed company, over a six  year period within its Toromont Energy Services group and with one of its subsidiary companies, Toromont Energy Ltd., who were constructors, operators and, in certain cases, owners, of power generation facilities; and was an Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, Chartered Accountants over a six year period.

Erik Vander Ahe - Senior VP, Operations & Development

Erik Vander AheWith extensive experience in management, professional services, product development, product management, business development, product architecture, technical support and consulting Erik has successfully built teams and products in high growth competitive environments spanning 20 years. As part of Executive Management Erik provided corporate guidance at Equitrac which employed over 250 individuals. Prior to that Erik held increasingly senior roles at CheckFree i-Solutions culminating in his role as VP, Client Services where he developed several customer focused implementation programs.

 

Paul Harapiak, P.Eng. - Chief Architect

Paul HarapiakWith over 23 years of software development experience including 10 years as a Senior Architect, Paul comes armed with a wealth of knowledge to help drive Coreworx' success. As Chief Architect at Checkfree i-Solutions and Senior Software Architect at Sandvine, Paul is a thought leader that has proven his ability to mature early stage technology into viable solutions. With a clear vision and the talent to motivate and manage teams in an Agile environment he played a pivotal role at BlueGill Technologies in taking a product from concept to commercial success leading to its $250 million purchase by Checkfree.

Laura Kacur – VP, Human Resources

Laura KacurAs a senior Human Resources leader with over twenty years experience in Canada and the United States, Laura is an accomplished HR generalist with a strong background in organizational development, strategic planning and facilitation.With a career spent coaching and developing teams in technology based organizations Laura was most recently Director, HR at NDI. (Northern Digital Inc.) Prior to NDI, Laura spent ten years with Baxter Healthcare in various HR roles with increasing responsibility, the last four of which were spent leading the HR function of a cardiovascular device division in Northern California.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

 

Sandra MacGillivray – VP, Product & Marketing

Sandra MacGillivraySandra MacGillivray brings over a decade of experience in enterprise software product management to Coreworx.  In her role, Sandra oversees a team responsible for product management, marketing and lead generation.

Prior to joining Coreworx in 2008, Sandra was Director of Channel Partner Programs with Compiere, the leading commercial open source ERP software provider.  Earlier, she was Director of Product Strategy with HighJump Software, with responsibilities for a product suite that included ERP, mobile, warehouse management and business intelligence applications.  This followed the acquisition of GBG by HighJump, where Sandra held several leadership positions in product management, marketing, business development and operations.

Sandra graduated as a Loran Scholar from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science. She holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

 

Steve Sullivan – VP, Business Development Australia & Asia

As a strategic information technology management executive, Steve brings a wealth of experience in the application of technology to the Resources and Energy markets to Coreworx. His over twenty years experience with tier 1 resource and energy sector companies helps inform his extensive understanding of this space, it's future directions, strategies and drivers. Prior to joining Coreworx, Steve held senior roles with leading industry players CSC and Honeywell  directing the sale and delivery of mission critical business solutions both within the APAC region and globally.

 

Paul Sunderland, P.Eng. - Director Solutions Consulting

Paul SunderlandPaul Sunderland holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario and is armed with over 30 years of management experience gained working at Bell Canada, Rogers Telecom,  AT&T Canada, and Coreworx Inc. His extensive experience has included leadership positions in Consulting, Engineering, Project Management and Operations. At Coreworx, Paul focuses on helping businesses address their unique project information needs. He has worked closely with Fluor, Chevron, J. Ray McDermott, Husky, BHP Billiton, CP Mining and US Enrichment Corporation to understand and successfully capture their business processes; share the industry best practices we have gained over the years and; optimize the value for each customer of the Coreworx' Project Information Control solution.
